Scientific monitoring of the planning and requirements analysis of a school administration software for hamburg

In the state schools of Hamburg today there are two different systems of school administration in place: LUSD in the general-education schools and WinSchool in the vocational schools. These two systems are in use already for some years and now have to be examined if they meet the growing requirements of IT support in school administration. Therefore the Ministry of Education [Behörde für Schule und Berufssbildung (BSB)] of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg has launched a project to analyze the requirements and possibilities of replacing the current systems.

The ifib supports the BSB in this project with a scientific monitoring. We survey and analyze comparable activities in Germany as well as abroad. In addition, we support the project team by…
