The Baden-Wuerttemberg State Media Centre (Landesmedienzentrum, LMZ) operates different, closely linked websites: the information portal Mediaculture Online with contents concerning media education, media practice and media culture, the online distribution portal for media research for researching and booking of (lending) media in the media centre association of Baden-Wuerttemberg, the matrix of the formal curriculum including contents for subject-integrating media education, and the portal for teaching modules, where teachers provide teachers with modules complying with the formal curriculums of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg.

As all four portals are interconnected resp. refer to each other, they are to be made accessible with a joint starting page focussing on the target group of teachers. For this purpose, ifib investigates the current use and the requirements of the main target group in order to identify improvement potential for the readjustment. Special challenges are that the requirements of specific user groups have to be detected, which have to be evaluated for all four websites.

Recommendations for action will be deduced from the analysis results; they will serve as a basis for the further strategic development of the LMZ websites.
